Privacy policy
This policy explains what KAJK Constructors Inc. collects through kajkconstructors.com, why we collect it, who handles it for us, and how you can see, correct or delete it. It took effect on 2026-10-01.
Who is responsible for your information
KAJK Constructors Inc. (“KAJK”, “we”) runs kajkconstructors.com. We are responsible for the personal information we collect through it, including information that companies running parts of the site handle on our behalf.
Privacy questions, requests and complaints go to our President, at info@kajkconstructors.com, (613) 869-8254, or 46 Grenfell Crescent, Unit A, Ottawa, ON K2G 0G4.
We follow Canada's federal private-sector privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada describes it as applying to “private-sector organizations across Canada that collect, use, or disclose personal information in the course of a commercial activity.”
What we collect
We do not ask for payment card or banking details on this site.
- The assessment form
- Your first and last name, mobile phone number, email address, how you want us to reply, anything you write in the message, and any photos you add. With it, the form records the page you sent it from, the site that referred you there, and any campaign tags in the link you followed.
- Calls and emails
- What you tell us when you contact us directly, and our replies.
- The chat assistant
- The chat button in the corner of every page opens an AI assistant, not a person. If you use it: the messages you type and any contact details you choose to give.
- Website use
- Through Google Analytics 4: the pages you view, how you reached the site, your device and browser, and your approximate location. We do not send Google Analytics your name, phone number, email address or message.
Why we collect it
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not send marketing email or texts unless you have agreed to receive them.
- To reply
- To answer your request and book your free assessment.
- To assess and quote
- The address tells us about the roof or land, and your energy use sizes the system in the proposal.
- To carry out a project
- If you hire us: permits, the utility connection and any incentive applications.
- To improve the site
- To see which pages help visitors and fix the ones that don't.
Who handles it for us
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
- Velogics
- Built this website and runs its assessment form and chat assistant for us. It stores what you send through them, and its AI reads it, photos included, to write the first replies to you by email or text, as you chose. It handles your information only to provide those services to KAJK.
- Anthropic, Twilio and Postmark
- The services Velogics uses for the form and chat: Anthropic provides the AI, Twilio sends and receives text messages, and Postmark sends and receives email.
- Vercel
- Hosts the website, the form and the chat on Velogics' behalf, and stores photos you add to the form.
- Provides Google Analytics.
- Microsoft
- Hosts our business email, so messages you email us are stored there.
- Utilities, inspectors and programs
- If you hire us, Hydro Ottawa or Hydro One, the Electrical Safety Authority, the City of Ottawa and any incentive program you apply to receive the details each step requires.
Information stored outside Canada
Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it may be accessed by the courts, law enforcement and national security authorities of that country. We remain responsible for it while it is with them.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga, and _ga_ followed by an ID) to count visits and tell new visitors from returning ones. We keep its event-level data for 14 months. Google explains how it uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
You can block cookies in your browser's settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How long we keep it
We keep an assessment request as long as we need it to reply, prepare the assessment and follow up. If you become a customer, we keep project records as long as the work and our legal obligations require; for tax records, the Canada Revenue Agency generally requires six years from the end of the last tax year they relate to. After that we delete or anonymize them.
How we protect it
At KAJK, only the people who need your information to serve you can see it. Velogics serves the site over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and each provider above protects what it holds with its own security measures.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email info@kajkconstructors.com. PIPEDA requires us to respond to an access request within 30 days, unless the law allows an extension. If withdrawing consent means we can no longer prepare your assessment or continue a project, we will tell you.
To stop replies about a request you sent through the form or chat: if you chose email, reply to one of the emails and say so; if you chose text messages, reply STOP to any of them. Your carrier may charge its usual message and data rates.
Questions and complaints
If you have a concern, contact us first and we will try to resolve it. If we can't, you can take it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, whose guidance is to raise an issue with the organization before reporting it to the OPC.
Changes to this policy
This policy took effect on 2026-10-01. It was updated on 2026-10-09, when the Velogics form replaced the site's own and the AI chat assistant went live. If we change it, we will post the new version here with its date.
